In Deluxe Lessons your student will have access to…

Piano Pronto

Every student in Deluxe Lessons has the opportunity to learn using the Piano Pronto Method.  What’s unique about that?

Piano Maestro

In addition to a traditional method book, Piano Pronto students have access to an interactive piano learning app called Piano Maestro.  Students can access this app during lessons and at home.

Double the Learning

Piano Pronto and Piano Maestro partner in a unique way to both reinforce fundamental piano concepts and introduce new ones using a variety of teaching styles.  Students who learn using this unique method have stronger music theory skills, which in turn benefits their piano playing!

What are Deluxe Lessons?

Deluxe Lessons are a unique combination of one-on-one private instruction and group classes.  Deluxe Lessons are specifically designed for students entering or currently enrolled in second grade and higher.

What will my child learn in Deluxe Lessons?

During a Deluxe Lesson, your child will receive 60 minutes of instruction split into three stations uniquely tailored to your student.  In one station your child will receive individualized one-on-one instruction from the teacher at the piano.  In another station your child will engage in interactive theory games using a variety of technology.  In the final station your child will complete guided practice time at the piano, allowing him or her to apply new concepts immediately.  All students are encouraged to progress at their own pace and will build on the foundations of piano playing as they continue their studies.

How are Deluxe Lessons different from traditional piano lessons?

Deluxe Lessons are much more immersive and interactive than traditional piano lessons.  Instead of learning to read notes on the musical staff by memorization, students interact with notes on the staff through hands-on games that strengthen fluency.  Instead of learning about music theory through worksheets completed at home, students experience these foundational concepts of music during lessons through engaging games that bring real life meaning to them.  Instead of simply performing “old music” and being assigned “new music” to be practiced at home, students learn and immediately apply new concepts during their one-on-one and guided practice time.

Why do you teach Deluxe Lessons instead of traditional lessons?

If you haven’t already read the story of how I was lead to non-traditional piano instruction, check it out at About Us Aside from that though, the biggest reason that I teach Deluxe Lessons instead of traditional one-on-one piano lessons is because of the success I see students experience in every lesson.  While traditional lessons rely on a great deal of at home work (often with a good deal of prompting from parents), Deluxe Lessons incorporate the beginning of that work right at the lesson.  The hardest part of engaging a student in at-home practice is simply getting them started.  During Deluxe Lessons, the tools to get started are already provided and then easily transferred to the home environment.

How long will my child be in Deluxe Lessons?  What comes next?

The Deluxe Lessons program is designed for students entering or currently enrolled in second grade and higher.  Complete beginners, advancing beginners, and intermediate level students with previous experience are all welcome.  Students may remain in the Deluxe Lessons program as long as they wish to continue instruction.
